Case Study Highlights
Vikram Agarwal credits this recognition to Danone’s more than 45,000 people across procurement, planning, manufacturing, and logistics, along with its suppliers, partners, and farmers worldwide.
In procurement, his team found deep talent constrained by more than 100 disconnected tools, so rather than adding another tool on top, they built a single orchestration layer using language models that assist, and sometimes act as agents for, buyers.
Vikram sees Industry 5.0 combining digital capability, human expertise and frontline ownership to drive value across an entire connected network.
He also extended that resilience thinking beyond Danone’s own operations, investing in farmer capability building through initiatives like the Milk Academy, so that as farmers become stronger, the entire supply chain becomes stronger too.
