Steffen Lang leads a global manufacturing network of more than 30 sites at Novartis, where a program called Lean Digital Core is moving the business onto a single, standardized instance.
More than 60% of sites are now included, with over 80% standardization achieved.
Novartis is also making strong progress toward net zero by 2040, with clean electricity now near 100% and waste and water consumption both down more than 50%, even as output has increased. Steffen attributes this progress to the empowered green teams across the globe.
