Message to the Supply Chain Community
I feel very honored to be #22 in Alcott Global’s Leaders in Supply Chain Awards. This is a recognition to all my colleagues in Operations working every day to contribute to PMI’s success. We’ve faced many challenges since the beginning of our smoke-free journey and we’re still learning as we go. We’re on the right track to turn our ambitions into reality! Thanks, Alcott Global for the recognition!
Now, more than ever before, Supply Chain emerged to be a critical pillar to any business success. We are front and center of our organizations’ sustainability, agility, resilience, and innovation. Because of the complexity we handle and our strong involvement in the business, we are also ‘the place to be’ for future leaders to develop not only within Operations but beyond in the Organization. Let’s take the challenges that this VUCA world has been throwing our way and turn them into opportunities to grow, learn, and excel.

The Magnitude of Our Transformation
“Transforming a corporation like PMI is no small feat. Our Supply Chain organization plays a great part in ensuring our successful shift from a business built around a single category focused on selling combustible products. We’ve moved from a fairly simple supply and commercial network to a more complex business involving a diverse product portfolio: unlike other industries, our product categories are interconnected among them and often “competing” for the same resources (supply materials, manufacturing footprint, distribution channels). To meet these fast-evolving business requirements, our Supply Chain has shifted from a very stable and sequential manufacturing-centric planning process, to proactively embracing a new model designed around process excellence and digitization.”
