When entering university, Alexander Streif was firm about his plan to major in Sales & Marketing, but after his first lectures and following an internship in Procurement Excellence, he realized that it’s much more fun to sit on the other side of the table. The diversity of challenges, especially in growth industries, is fuelling his ongoing excitement about Supply Chain. Next to work, Alex enjoys outdoor sports and hiking.

“Supply Chain is the skeleton of operations. If nothing hurts, nobody gives a thought about how the skeleton keeps everything together. Too often, as soon as pain is spreading, symptoms are treated instead of working on the root causes. Don’t wait for others to address them. Take ownership and fix the root cause – independent of where the root cause is.”
