TOP SUPPLY CHAIN LEADERS 2023
Roberto Canevari
Executive Vice Presidentand Chief Supply Chain Officer The Estée Lauder Companies
Standing tall at 6’2, Roberto Canevari had childhood dreams of being a professional basketball player. Instead, he became a supply chain trailblazer in prestige beauty, fashion, and soap. As a college freshman in 1987, “Supply Chain” was not popular as a name nor as a career. However, he quickly fell in love with the field’s unique ability to bridge diverse technical skills and people from all walks of life. While he may have traded the basketball court for the manufacturing floor, Roberto still believes in the power of teamwork as the game plan to win.
Message to the Supply Chain Community
This award is a powerful reflection of the hard work put in by the entire Estée Lauder Companies Global Supply Chain organization to accelerate value creation and deliver high-quality prestige beauty products to our consumers worldwide. Every day, our team embodies a commitment to safety, quality, and excellence that drives our company forward.
In my day-to-day work, I take a page from my favorite sport: basketball. It’s the only sport where all members of the teamwork interchangeably to win – balancing their position and skills with what the team needs in the moment. Likewise, to successfully navigate today’s complex supply chain landscape, it’s critical to work as a cohesive team. The collective goals of your organization need to come before ego and title. Strive to remain adaptable and agile to accomplish your common goals.
