The Leaders in Supply Chain Awards program follows four main phases:

Phase 1 – Nominations
The supply chain community is invited to nominate leaders whose work has resulted in:

  • A more diverse and engaged workforce
  • Tangible impact through digital technologies
  • Clear innovation in sustainability

Phase 2 – Case Study Submission
Eligible nominees are required to complete a case study submission form that highlights:

  • Diversity initiatives
  • Digital transformation efforts
  • Sustainability contributions
  • Leadership impact across the team, company, customers, suppliers, and the industry at large

The form allows for uploading supporting evidence such as links, videos, PDFs, presentations, Word files, and images to build a strong and well-documented submission.

Phase 3 – Evaluation
Submissions are evaluated by:

  • A panel of jury members
  • Peer voting from selected supply chain professionals

Evaluation is based on:

  • Magnitude of the impact
  • Quality and clarity of evidence provided
  • Demonstrated leadership influence in the industry

Phase 4 – Awards Ceremony
The winners are announced during a virtual ceremony held in September. All Top 30 Leaders are revealed and celebrated during this event.

To proceed to the case study submission, the nominee must:

  1. Hold a regional or global role for at least 18 months
  2. Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations (not limited to one function)
  3. Work in a manufacturing company with USD 1B+ annual revenue

Note: software or pure services companies are not eligible.

Nominations are open to colleagues, industry peers, and even family members.

The program is global and welcomes participation from all industries and regions.

Eligible nominees will receive instructions to submit a case study supported by evidence of their impact.

Submissions should be structured, complete, and well-documented.

GUIDELINES

Responses should include evidence such as links, statistics, and KPI progress. Please indicate whether the information is public or confidential.

The jury considers both the nominee’s strategic vision and the real-world results achieved. This includes the nominee’s impact across the supply chain (on their team, company, customers, suppliers, and the broader industry).

Yes. Leadership is evaluated based on both the nominee’s personal philosophy and their tangible impact on direct reports, the company, customers, suppliers, and the industry.

Some high-level examples will be shared as guidance. However, case study submissions are expected to be more detailed, and full instructions will be provided to eligible nominees during the submission phase.

The preferred method is to submit through the official form on the event website. Supporting materials may also be uploaded in formats such as Word, PDF, PowerPoint, or video to showcase the projects more effectively.

Nominees can present their work in the way that best fits their context. Given the program’s scope, submissions that include comprehensive data and multiple supporting elements are more likely to be selected for the Top 30 or even the Top 5.

The Top 30 Supply Chain Leaders are selected through a two-part process:

  • 75% from jury evaluations based on submitted case studies
  • 25% from peer voting by over 2,000 invited executives

Submissions are reviewed based on:

  • Impact on workforce diversity and engagement
  • Digital transformation achievements
  • Innovation in sustainability

Additional factors include:

  • End-to-end supply chain scope
  • Company revenue (minimum USD 1B)
  • Global or regional role responsibilities
  • Business impact, SDG alignment, and commitment to the UN Global Compact

This evaluation process ensures fairness and impartiality. Winners are recognized for driving industry-wide progress, not just internal success.
