Escaping the civil war more than 35 years ago, he left the mountains of Lebanon, crossing borders to pursue new opportunities abroad. His departure marked a step toward stability and growth, set against the backdrop of a country in conflict.
His career has spanned four continents and seven countries, with a focus on executing mega industrial projects in the oil and gas industry, LNG, infrastructure, and rail.
Over the years, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility, including Project Manager, Operations Manager, and roles in Material Management. Today, Tarek is a Principal Vice President and the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Bechtel Global Corporation.
In addition to his professional achievements, Tarek has been a panelist and featured speaker at multiple industry conferences, sharing his expertise and insights with peers and industry leaders. He also mentors for the Environmental Academy at the American University of Beirut and supports the Women’s Energy Network as an ally and mentor.
Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, competitive shooting, and donating his time to non-profit organizations.
