Marketa Gibson’s journey into supply chain began by pure chance in 2001, right after she completed her studies in Information Technology and Science at the University of Economics in Prague. What started as a lucky break at Nestlé quickly turned into a lifelong passion. She fell in love with the dynamic world of supply chain, especially the opportunity to meet people from different cultures and learn how supply chains operate across diverse markets.
Marketa is passionate about people and customers, and she never imagined that a spontaneous start would lead to such a global and fulfilling career. Fast forward 24 years, she now leads the global supply chain for McCain Foods. Based in Toronto, she drives transformation across regional teams worldwide, focusing on building a resilient, customer-centric, transparent, and agile supply chain.
Originally from the Czech Republic, Marketa has lived in four countries and now enjoys life with her husband and two kids, balancing her love for ice hockey, tennis, and a good book.
